Last Saturday (6 September),we had Sy Rogers as our guest preacher at church.
His theme was about waiting.
Waiting for God to show the way to us,according to His schedule.
Sy Rogers' preach was truly inspiring for me.
Normally,I'd find it hard to concentrate on listening to the full content of a preach, but for once,I actually wanted him to continue on talking and preaching.
He's right.
We often pray to God and want things to work promptly, best to be right after our prayers.
But that is not the way God works.
God has His own schedule for things..
By waiting and praying to God patiently, what we gain at the end will be greater than what we asked for in the frst place.
Right now,I am waiting for the right time for me to go to America.
Sure, the waiting is long, but I didn't want to rush God.
I knew He has my life planned out just fine.
All I have to do is wait and enhance myself.
I could just transfer back to UO for the next winter term if I really wanted to.
But things just didn't feel right, even though it looks like the possible way to work,it just didn't feel right.
Sy Rogers said that there's this one time when he and his wife wanted to buy a new car.
The deal was perfect, the car was good, but the only thing that was wrong was they didn't feel right about the whole situation.
So,instead, they rather miss out what may seem to be the perfect offer at the time and follow their hearts.
I think this is what they call "the Holy Spirit talking".
At the end, they got more than what they asked for.
I think the reason why things don't feel right for me to step back into America right now is because I am not ready for it yet.
I believe God has His way and His timeline for me and all I have to do is wait patiently.
And in the mean time, try my best to be prepared for what may come in my way in the future.
I have always believe in the Holy Spirit and how God uses It to communicate with me.
I may not be filled with all the Bible and Christianity knowledge, but I believe in God.
It's hard to potray what Sy Rogers has said as good as he did.
He's truly a great inspiration.
